Robi Domingo

Robi as Vincent...

Solid fans of Robi Domingo will soon see the Atenean in his first television acting debut via My Girl. The Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus 2nd Big Placer, together with Josef Elizalde and 3rd Teen Placer Nicole Uysiuseng are the newest addition to the cast of the hit Koreanovela adaptation. My Girl gives Robi the opportunity to work with Kim Chiu who is one of his biggest crushes in showbiz. The two have met during the grand ABS-CBN Trade Launch last July 1, although up to know, Robi is still starstruck over the chinita teen idol.

During the pictorial for My Girl, Robi tells ABS-CBN.com his initial reaction after finding out that he will be working with Kim. "Inspiring (laughs)." But the 18-year old pre-med student instantly blushed when told that Kim already knows that he has a crush on her. However, Robi was later pleased to know that Kim finds him a nice guy.

In My Girl, Robi will play Vincent, the good lad out to rival Josef in winning the heart of Nicole who is the real Hannah in the teleserye. Robi is not bothered to play triangle to the Nicosef love team which was formed during their stay inside Kuya’s house, and only laughs at the idea of ruining the tandem. "Sobrang kinikilig po talaga ako sa Nicosef love team nila, on and off the set. Magkakapatid po kami sa set, trabaho lang po." says Robi. The True-Blue Atenista is also comfortable working with Josef, the Lethal Lasallite, despite the differences in their personalities. "Opposite attracts naman e (jokes). Everyone is unique naman pero it’s should not be a barrier para hindi magkasundo. Ngayon okay naman kami ni Josef."

Robi’s introduction in My Girl also raises an issue between him and Teen Big Winner Ejay Falcon. Contrary to the expectation of many that Ejay will be the first to have a showbiz project, it was Robi who was given his first teleserye. But Robi is not affected by negative rumors pitting him against Ejay. "Hindi ko naman naisip na may issue. Lahat po kami hawak ng ABS-CBN. Alam ko pong si Ejay magkaka-project din siya." he answers.

Josef Elizalde

Josef Elizalde as Sam boy

PBB Teen Edition Plus ex-housemate Josef Elizalde has finally jumpstarted his acting career in showbiz through the top-rated primetime teleserye, My Girl—something which he considered a huge feat soon after his extraordinary Pinoy Big Brother experience. His elation towards his first brush with fame even intensified when he saw the overwhelming support of his fans as well as Nikki Uysiuseng’s during their fans’ day in Cebu held last June 29.

"Ever since dream ko na maging artista. Mahilig talaga ako manood ng TV eh. Sabi ko pa nun sa sarili ko, ‘One day, ako naman yung mapapanood ng mga tao sa TV," said Josef during a one on one interview with ABS-CBN.com. "I had commercials na rin before kaya parang sanay na ako. Pero syempre iba yung commercials sa teleserye." Why did he join showbiz just now? "Dati gusto ko na talaga. Pero wala pa kasing opportunities nun. Hindi naman por que nasa showbiz mom ko…ayoko naman daanin sa (palakasan)."

As his avid fans would know by now, he was able to get a shot at being a housemate through his efforts alone. He stressed that having a talent manager for a mom wasn’t something he’d use to get an easy pass to show business. But of course he wouldn’t discount its advantages. "Pero yun nga. Siymepre hindi ako papabayaan ng mom ko. She gives me advice and sinusuportahan niya talaga ako. (As a manager), she knows what’s best for me. Kaya kapag sinabi niyang ‘wag ‘yan nakikinig ako kasi kilala ko yung mom ko. Ilang years na rin naman akong sumasama-sama sa work niya."

Aside from his mom, he also listens to his role model-slash-family friend Jericho Rosales’s bits of wisdom. "Nainspire talaga ko sa life story niya. Who would have thought na yung simpleng tao na tulad niya dati would end up a big star. Hanggang ngayon hindi por que mayaman na siya, eh nawala na yung concern niya sa tao pati sa pagdadasal niya. Tsaka pag mahal niya ang isang tao, todo talaga yung pagmamahal niya."

Josef then revealed that he has a similar stance on matters of the heart. There was even a point in his life wherein he had to fight for a girl he loves who, unfortunately, failed to make a good impression on his family. Yet in spite of his efforts, the relationship still turned sour in the end. ABS-CBN.com asked him also about the real score between him and teen housemate Nicole Uysiuseng whom he got close to during their PBB days. "(We’re just) good friends. Siyempre step by step muna. Ang hirap naman kasi kung, kunwari, magkatuluyan man kami, tapos may sari-sarili na kaming projects, so wala na kaming time for each other ‘di ba? Ang mangyayari lang dun mawawala lang kami. Then usually relationship pa ang nakakasira ng friendship. Kaya ngayon, binabagalan nalang muna namin."

David Chua

David Chua as Jeffrey...

David Chua is known to fans of My Girl as Jeffrey, the slow-minded Fil-Chinese friend of Jasmine. The showbiz newcomer recently joined the other cast of the hit teleserye for a three-day taping in Baguio where ABS-CBN.com interviewed him about his life so far doing his very first television acting. It was David’s first time to do a TV shoot in Baguio, and being in the City of Pines for him means visiting the local markets. "Gusto ko sana mamili ng mga damit, mga bagong shirts. Strawberries din, tsaka mga walis tambo (jokes)." shares David.

More than the perk of going on out-of-town shoots, David also feels blessed to be having new friends among the My Girl cast. One of his closest friends is Alex Gonzaga who plays his equally comic twin-sibling Christine. David reveals that the wacky chemistry between Jeffrey and Christine is very much similar to his real-life friendship with Alex. Since they share many scenes in the story, David and Alex spend most of their time together on the set. The 19-year old Fine Arts student found his acting debut much easier with a company like Alex. What does he like most about her? "Yung pagiging makulit niya. Walang dull moments sa kanya. Kahit minsan masakit sa tenga yung boses niya (laughs), mabait naman yan si Alex." he answers.

Aside from Alex, another female co-star who David likes very much is Regine Angeles. David has been vocal about his crush for Regine since they have known each other from the same modeling agency where they both started. The model-actor has also admitted his plans of courting the Be Bench model search winner if given the chance. David could not hide his excitement because in the future episodes of My Girl, he will be doing more scenes with Regine as Jeffrey starts to become close to Shiela, the secretary of Julian played by Regine. "Mas maiipit ako (Jeffrey) kasi ayaw kong ipasabi kung nasaan si Jasmine, e may gusto naman ako kay Shiela kaya ayaw kong magsinungaling sa kanya." David shares about what would happen to his character in the future episodes.

ENCHONG DEE

ENCHONG DEE as Nico

Ernest Lorenzo (Enchong) Dee
Born: November 5, 1988
A Filipino actor, model, and champion swimmer.
He is a brother of another Filipino actor model, AJ Dee.

Enchong Dee is always in his swimming trunks. But that’s not entirely a bad thing because 18-year-old Enchong who started swimming at age six, is a champion swimmer with 400 plus medals (including a SEA games silver) to his name. Even a cool and casual get-up of shirt and pants cannot hide his V-shaped back and toned body.

In swimming, Enchong clocks in an amazing time in the most difficult butterfly stroke — next only to Eric Buhain. His teammates aptly brand him "Halimaw" (monster) because of his powerful core-propelled movement in the butterfly stroke. Enchong’s fastest time in the 100-meter butterfly is 56.5, which puts him at par with the country’s best.

The resident pretty boy of the pool, Enchong hopes to be part of the team which will compete in the 2008 Olympics in China but for now, his sights are set on the 2007 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.

If you think Enchong has it easy, just swimming everyday to prepare for his competitions, you’re so wrong. Sporty and athletic Enchong also engages in badminton and triathlon and has academic classes to attend to. He is a sophomore at De La Salle University taking up Sports Management. TV and modeling take up his time when he’s not in school or in the pool.

Enchong’s TV roles are on both ends of the spectrum. In the teenybopper Saturday show About Ur Luv, he is Blue, a singer/heartthrob from the province paired with Brenda (Carla Humphries). For your late-night primetime soap fill, he joins Diether Ocampo, Kristine Hermosa and Rica Peralejo in Palimos ng Pag-ibig where he plays Rica’s brother, Job, a dentistry student. He is also a regular on the Sunday variety show ASAP where he dances and hosts along with Star Magic’s stellar line-up.

He was one of Cosmopolitan Magazine’s 2006 Centerfold Bachelors, a part of Metro Magazine’s Body Calendar and snagged the Choice Pop Cover Boy award from the ASAP Pop Viewers Choice Awards for 2006.

With all these, it is no surprise that Enchong is also the advertising world’s hottest boy. He has starred in billboards and commercials and now is the newest endorser of Timex’s sports collection. Timex is the No. 1 sports watch in the US and athletes swear by the precision timing of the watch — perfect for Enchong who is a world-class swimmer!

At 5’9" and 155 pounds, this world-class swimmer from Naga City is a prize catch.

Nico is...

He is exactly the opposite of his best friend Julian. As someone who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, Nico believes that life is all about pleasure and women. But his fickle heart soon begins to beat for just one girl because of Jasmine.
